Critical Overtime Changes on the Horizon That Will Benefit Managers

Salaried Managers Making Less Than $54,000 Expected to Be Made Non-Exempt From Overtime Laws

Overtime - Are You Getting What You Deserve?
According to the Wall Street Journal, the United States Department of Labor intends to finalize a proposed rule that would make certain managers making less than $54,000 per year non-exempt ("non-exempt" = entitled to) from the overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Presently, managers making more than approximately $23,000 or more each year are exempt from overtime requirements ("exempt" = not entitled).

Continuing to Fight for American Workers
The propose rule has long been advocated by the White House, and would represent a necessary update to a salary level requirement that has not changed for decades.
