Washington Redskins Trademark Revoked by U.S. Patent Office

U.S. Patent Office Cancels Six Washington Redskins Trademarks - Asserts That Trademark is Disparaging to American Indians

What Does the U.S. Patent Office Know About How American Indians View the name Washington Redskins?

While this determination will have no impact on the Redskins' ability to continue using their name, it weakens their brand substantially.  This is just the latest in a growing trend of opinions and decisions that will, in my view, inevitably lead to the Redskins changing their name.

I am not an American Indian, so I do now know how they perceive the team's name.  However, I do not find it disparaging, for what that is worth!
